September Ends

Last month, I decided I needed to focus if I were going to make my goal of completing eight stitched pieces. These were the eight that I thought I was most likely to complete, and thus I will be focusing on them for the rest of the year:
  1. Thistle
  2. Our Souls (Anniversary)
  3. Tis the Season
  4. Shining Star
  5. Green Snowman
  6. Elizabethan Rose
  7. 16th Century Knot Garden
  8. Emerald Mermaid
I am more than halfway through the Thistle now. I thought focusing on one would help, and it did a little. I did keep up with the Smalls SAL, and stitched two.

Muriel--remember her?--is up in Canada visiting Kathy's Sit and Stitch. I have been updating her page, and I encourage you to check out her latest adventure, visiting quilt shops.

Its good to have such goals. I am focusing on finishing too. I have one more big piece to finish by years end - my Chatelaine. Thanks for the shout out for Muriel. Her next visit is to Niagara on the Lake.

Good luck with completing the finishes for the year you've set for your goal, they'll be wonderful to look at when complete, what an accomplishment. Thistles is looking lovely, looking forward to your updates on the others. The cookies in your earlier posting looked delicious, what a great present to give, cookies a month, that's one I wouldn't mind receiving from someone :)

I like making goals, they give me something to laugh about at the end of the year!

Hopefully you will do better than me. Thistles is lovely, I really like this kind of design.

Nice to keep following the Travelling Granny too.
