Folding Paper

There's a whole website of crafts people find on pinterest and fail to replicate called Pinterest Fail. I don't find it all that funny but BuzzFeed pulled a few of them and no matter how many times I show this to people, I crack up especially at #9 and #17.

I know a couple of my projects from last year merited inclusion in the fail category. Probably more than this one does because it is not horrible; it's just not perfect. And it's made from folding paper. How hard can that be? Video directions here.*

I'm most disappointed in that gap at the bottom. It was just frustrating not to be able to get it all to line up. I think if I did this again, I'd use regular paper. I used light cardstock because it was the only two sided print that I had. It made it hard to get the folds just right (see also the white petals at two o'clock.)

*Be prepared to be frustrated by the slow video. Most of her videos have a few hundred views. This one has 5000--slows things down a bit.

Far from horrible - you see imperfections that we don't!

The necklace is very nice - could you be a silversmith? LoL

The tea pouch is really cute. Those people who carry their sweeteners could use this as well.

Wow, that is so cool! And it's folded paper? I didn't even notice the gap at the bottom -- had to look closely. Love that necklace too.

I think it looks perfect Nikki. I don't see any flaws in it.

Thank you sharing Pinterest. My worst fail was a "build your own volcano" kit the Large Boy got one Xmas. That failed on the plaster of Paris making step it went hard too quick so I added more water then it all cracked!

There's been a ton of discussion on the cookie bowls about the proper recipe to use, and why you can't use the pre-made stuff from the dairy case. I never thought the marveled nails would work. I think the evil devil egg chicks made me laugh the hardest, until I saw the hair whip. Hands down fave.
