Challenge Revealed

We have six gorgeous entries this year. These pieces are all beautiful representations of special places.  To vote for your favorite, please send me an email {annavsxs AT gmail} with "Vote" in the subject line. Please do not vote in the comments. We want everyone to feel like a winner, because everyone is. They get to keep these lovely pieces they designed!

Without further ado, here they are in the order the pictures were received:

"Home is where your flowers grow." Number one.

"Maine: the Way Life Should Be" Number two.

"Sweet Summer" Number three.

"Sweet Memories" Number four.

"Eureka" Number five.

"As a man tramps the woods to the lake he knows he will find pines and lilies, blue herons and golden shiners, shadows on the rocks and the glint of light on the wavelets, just as they were in the summer of 1354, as they will be in 2054 and beyond.  He can stand on a rock by the shore and be in a past he could not have known, in a future he will never see.  He can be a part of time that was and time yet to come." --William Chapman White
"Adirondacks" Number Six.

Oh my gosh - wow! What a lot of talent! I'm kind of glad now that I didn't get mine done - I'd just feel unworthy. Seriously fantastic entries!!

It's so difficult! Like Hannah, I'm kicking myself for not doing this. I'm not good with long deadlines, I'm such a last-minute.com type person then I ran out of time :-(
Next time I will start stitching the day you announce it! There will be a next time won't there?

They are all lovely.

All of these are beautiful, and interesting to see how each stitcher made the adjustments to the same starting pattern.

Truly pretty projects! If it weren't for the speed of life right now, I'd feel really bad that I didn't do one. Instead, I'll just continue to look at the completed ones and try to pick a favorite.
