Happy Bastille Day!

When we got married ten years ago, one of our friends told us it was a suitably revolutionary holiday for a wedding. To help you celebrate our anniversary, or Bastille Day, as you choose, whip up these revolutionary delights:
  • Martha's minions cook for liberte. If I were cooking for our anniversary dinner, it would be a toss-up between moules (the dude's favorite) and bouillabaisse (for me). And, yes, we served kir royales at our wedding.
  • The Decorated Cookie aggregates sweet treats for egalite. (And, "lest we forget"--more properly "je me souviens"--is actually a Canadian motto.)
  • Lil' Luna has party ideas for fraternite.
  • Et Marie Claire Idees offers these ways to celebrate the bleu, blanc, et rouge. {en francais}

Happy Anniversary!

I was in Quebec a few years back on this day and what a celebration. The locals recommended we not stay out past 10 pm and we made sure we waved the proper flag! It was fun.
