Thanks!

Getting the mail this week has been so exciting. Some days, all we get is mail for Maggie, which says a lot about the sad state of our mailbox. Today we had a huge pile of birthday cards. I bet we will tomorrow too. Thank you all for sending the cards. It turns out, you're brightening my day too.

No stitching these past few days. I had a second interview. I don't want to say anything about it at this time, but I got all dressed up and hauled my ass into the city for a 24 minute interview. I tried to get the dude to have lunch with me but he had other plans. So I headed to Bobby's Burger Palace--had the burger of the month. There's also another second interviews in the works, so things are looking up. I did, however, get a phone call from a place I interviewed in January telling me I didn't get the job (no kidding!) but they'd like to consider me for freelance work in the future. I'm kind of hoping I won't be freelancing in the future, but it's still  nice to be considered. (The hired someone with "agency" experience--which refers to advertising or public relations rather than modeling or the CIA.)

I'm gonna change out of this monkey suit and into some fleece pajamas and snuggle up and stitch. Maybe I'll have something to show you tomorrow.

Is it too late to send in a card for Maggie? There needs to be more West Coast representation to the list! Email's in my profile and let me know if there's any "criteria". :)

i am so glad to see New Orleans ! I was worried my card wouldn't make it with Mardi Gras happening, we move a little slower this time of year.

Glad my card for Maggie made it in record time. Of course, you're not that far away, but you know how the USPS can be sometimes.

Hooray for all of these second interviews! I'm very excited for you! Good luck! (Have I put in enough exclamation marks yet?)

Fleece PJs sound like just the thing after such an experience.

So glad lots of goodies for Maggie are filling your mailbox! :D

I agree with Valerie - the West Coast is looking pretty weak...is it too late to send a card for Maggie? If not, you can reach me at emahsing AT gmail.

Mine's in the post too, hope it arrives soon :)

On the job front: their loss! Second interviews should be banned, they're just cruel, all that effort! If they can't make a judgement after the first interview then really they're not very skilled interviewers. On the other hand, I'm glad that there are more opportunities appearing for you :)

At this point, any interview is a good interview. I just think that companies should be forced to acknowledge that they did interview you whether or not they offer you the job. It sucks to go to an interview, think you did well, then never hear from them again. Good luck job hunting - I know it can be brutal!
