Snow and Ice

This is a little message for Kelly: wonton in chili oil, dumplings in chili oil, scallion pancakes, Taiwanese sausage, beef and tripe in chili oil, chicken in chili oil, spicy crispy cucumber, cold sesame noodles, dan dan noodles, mung bean noodles, crispy chicken, Chinese cabbage, double cooked pork, beef kidneys, hot and sour fish, mapo tofu, eggplant in garlic sauce, beef with scallions, lamb with cumin, and six more dishes we can't remember. It was a great deal. And if you're looking to fill a table for ten, you've got two.

Anyway, that's also my excuse for the tiny bit of stitching I accomplished.

Today we had an icy start to the day. I had to walk the dog both times since the dude is home sick. And with the frozen slush on the sidewalks, it was a little like walking in sand. We're both exhausted.

I pulled out Liz Turner Diehl's English 16th C. Knot Garden. Apparently I haven't worked on it in over a year. There's a lot of confetti stitching here, so lower your expectations!

Damn. Now I'm hungry.

I wish you luck on the confetti stitching. That always bogs me down and makes me pissy.

Enjoy your slush walks!

Nice progres! I love the LTD gardens. I was obsessed for awhile with the idea of doing all of her designs and all of the DT garden design. I think I got as far as stitching two of the DT gardens. As I type that, I am realizing that I haven't seen the framed pieces in awhile. Hmmm...

Stay warm!

Now I'm hungry. Oatmeal with chili oil? Maybe not.
I really like the knot garden, sorry about the confetti stitching. It feels like you never get anywhere!

Yuck on confetti stitching. Even if it is so worth it in the end. :) I hope the weather has improved a bit. At least for today. I know more snow is expected for Tomorrow night. :( Oh well, at least I have a nice big back yard so no walking for me. Rory just runs out. And runs. and runs. and run........... :)

Love those LTD Gardens! I have lots in my stash to prove that statement, but only one is stitched.

I have no idea what confetti stitching is, but I've read nothing good about it haha! This piece looks great though.

The food sounds great! I could skip the kidneys and tripe, but with all those dishes, I don't think I'd miss it.

I'm with you on the confetti stitching - it will be over before you know it.
