Maggie! Monday

This is my sister's fiance. I'm gonna call him Jersey because that's where he is whisking my sister off to. You may recall that he proposed to my sister in front of the whole famn damily. This photo was taken that night. That's why he's so happy. (We think.) (Why the old lady is pointing at our friendly photographer, I have no idea.)

Somehow he ended up sitting next to Maggie that evening. And she couldn't keep her hands off him all night. She kept feeling his muscles--of which many hard ones--and exclaiming. So far, he's played it down, but I think I found out why. Our family has a totally different assessment of PDA from his. So while my family can't stop talking about how much the old lady was touching the big guy, he hardly noticed. (He claims he can get my sister interested in hugging in public, but dude, we're from New England. Like old England, but new.)

As it turns out, she is exactly 48 years his senior. The Pisces share a birthday. And she repeated that while giving him the fondling he hardly noticed.

Welcome to the family, Jersey.

Well, may I just say a big fat HUBBA HUBBA all the way from here in Hoosierville?

Mdme. Maggie (and your sister too) have FABulous taste in men! Does he have a brother?

(I could relocate, you know.)

As for the whole touching thing...how could you NOT?!

Hm, I was going to leave a comment and then (thankfully) read the one above mine and noticed it was exactly the same (substitute Hoosierville for the Rucphen Moors). You and your sister both have great taste in men. What's your secret for keeping them?

Seriously...I agree with the ladies commenting before me!

Wow . . . looks like we're unanimous. Tell your sister for us that we applaud her singularly good taste -- and his good taste, too.

P.S. my verification word is "rowding". Sounds like a pretty good definition of the noises being made here.

Ummm, hello! Yeah, I have to say, I don't blame Maggie for the touchy-feely.

You go Maggie! I'd have had a hard time not touching too. That has to be the single best thing about being Maggie's age... you can get away with behaviour like that.

That's too funny! I think it's an old lady thing. My grandmother always gravitated toward strange men with tatooed, hairy arms. It was quite embarrassing.
She also made sure the buttons on her blouse were screaming and she also would wear a black bra under a white blouse.
OOohhh.....thanks for the memories Gram!

Speaking as someone from Jersey I can tell you that people here do touch each other alot for no particular reason and that is probably why he's used to it. It's like a hand-talking thing and if you don't like to be touched by complete strangers in the produce aisle of A&P (as I don't) it can be unnerving. Congrats to your sister!
