My Kingdom for a...

Sigh. Yesterday I had to go to the city to see the gastroenterologist*--the one who calls me girl. I rode all the way to the city (just under an hour), sat in the waiting room, and rode all the way home with my project in my lap. All for want of a needle.

It's amazing how stitching can come to a complete halt over such a tiny little thing.

*We're fine (for now).

Somehow I managed to go on vacation without needles for the project I took with me. What ensued was a multi-day quest, which finally ended near Jordans' Furniture in Avon where we picked up my brother's dog for the weekend.

It was not fun.

Argh! I've done the very same thing. Hope your appointment went well. Love my gastro guy, hate what he does.....

I have done this, too. Though my visit was to the OB-GYN rather than a gastroenterologist. You are okay?

Is that why I have 100 needles in my project bag? Though I once had to find a Lo Ran threader in Maui (Ben Franklin thankfully!)

I have left home without my needle, but worse than that is 2 weeks ago at my stitching group I brought everything except the chart. What was I thinking. One of the other women let me stitch on one of her many projects. What a friend.

I once had an interminable wait for a kid when my needle fell into the black hole (space between the driver's seat and console). I dug and reached and felt about a whole lot and finally had to give up. So now my project bag holds at least two packets of needles. Glad to hear all is well. Does your GE call you girl because he is flattering you? Or does he just not remember you have a name?

I use my little pouch I made for the challenge you posted last year (the swirly gigs) to carry my scissors and needles now, so that doesn't happen anymore. However, I have forgotten my chart on more than one occasion.
