Life Skills

Stella thanks you for the get well wishes. She is getting better, and she loves taking her pills with the Greenie pill pockets. She's getting really good at handling door knocks and doorbell rings too; we have to keep practicing. So if you're in the neighborhood, stop by.

I haven't finished the Las Vegas piece for my father. I was getting really worried about that since I thought I was going to Vegas next week. It's true. I thought yesterday was June 24th. I even showed up to an interview a week early. Who does things like this? We went through with it since I was there. It went well. But let's face it: would you hire someone who showed up a week early?

The good news is that it is the third Friday of the month, so it is time to go stitch with my Friday night beeyotches. Fortunately, I can still count to three, even though I cannot otherwise read a calendar.

Off to stitch with my old ladies.

Oh dear. I lose track of days too. Maybe the interviewer will take it in a good way... you are eager and enthusiastic and not likely to be late... The good news is that you have more time to finish your Vegas piece.

June 24th? You are coming to Vegas June 24th? Rats! We will be gone. After being trapped here for months and months, the one time I would like to be here, we'll be Back East. Well, have a good time anyway.

Just re-found you blog after not blogging for awhile.
Read, read and read some more so I'm glad to read that Stella is fairing better.

I decided to start a brand spanking new blog and I hope you stop by.

So who has the "Bail" money for all of you ladies!! LOL Have fun with everyone.

I'd hire someone who showed up a week early, just out of curiosity to see what said person would do next. ;)

Wow at Stella's progress, that is great. I had a chuckle at the way your Dude proposed to you and it made me think of the way DH proposed to me: in a room full of people and most within ear-shot. How unromantic!!! At least yours was in private.

I work from home and often get my days confused - I only need to keep track for trash day ... which is sad. I would totally hire someone one who came in "early". No LATE issues.

I'm glad to hear that Stella is relaxing a bit at guarding her territory! I'm laughing at you skipping a week... thus far I've only skipped days. That didn't work out so well when I forgot it was the day the kids got out of school early, and I was sitting at home enjoying my stitching. Ahem. They've forgiven me. ;) Have a great time in Vegas!

I have been known to jump ahead on the calendar too. Glad your interview went well, albeit a week early. That's great that Stella is doing better with the doorbell, etc. You'll have to keep ordering pizza or something to keep her used to it! Enjoy your time with the girls!
