Lookit!

As we used to say when we were kids (or was it a regionalism?), lookit--it's our Barbara--sprung from the blogging ranks into designerhood and now into the semi-fame offered by the Bangor Daily News.

As we know:
...stitching became her refuge.

“A lot of people don’t have support systems in place. Living in Holland with my husband was great, and he is wonderful, but without extended family, my mother, well ...” she leaves the emotion unspoken. “Personally, stitching became a good way to work through those difficult emotional issues.”
Congratulations, Barbara!

Yay Barbara! I'm so excited for her; things are really looking excellent for her fledgling designing career.

What a great article! Thanks for making me "lookit". I haven't been checking that paper for a while. I usually read it on Tuesday's for the By Hand articles.

Gee, thanks Anna! :D I'm still kind of freaked about it. I assumed it would be a tiny article. But I'm really hoping it'll draw out some local craftspeople - including a bunch of cross stitchers. I'm getting lonely way up here! ;)
