Every New Beginning Comes from Some Other Beginning's End

Except, you know me. I have lots of beginnings and not so many endings...

Last night, I started the new quilt. I got all the patchwork pieces cut out and started sewing strips. Because you've been so patient, here is the fabric I am using.

Wait. What's that fabric in the middle look like?
You mean this one?

Fabulous, isn't it? I adore it. And I'm not sure cutting it was the right thing to do. I just want to drape myself in it. But I'd need a lot more than a yard and a half to cover this ass.

Though I joke about my inability to finish what I start, I am nearing an ending. I hope the girls at Curtis Boehringer's Studio are still stopping by because it shouldn't be long now.

I also got some good news. You know how I was lamenting that my mother's hand pieced quilts really needed to be hand quilted, a skill I know not of? Last night at quilting, someone told me that I could get Amish women to finish the quilts (here, here, here, here, and here) for me. Hot damn and hallelujah. Now to get an income.

That brown/blue print is gorgeous! Could you make a scarf out of it, if there isn't enough for clothes?

I have to admit I got excited when Google Reader showed the first line of your post. Don't you love new starts? Those are fabulous fabrics--great job coordinating colors and prints!

Love your quilt fabrics and yep, that blue and brown is so beautiful! Love it! Your sampler is looking great - you're almost there and hey, you do finish a lot, if you ask me! Of course, I may not be the best judge since I've only had one finish so far this year and that one, I started in 2008.....
