Quilts

Over the next few days I will be bringing you the little quilty things we rescued from the house-o-clutter. Prepare yourself!

This pile contains eight quilts: three antique, three stitched and hand-quilted by my mom (some are UFOs), and two store bought. I'm not going to show you the latter, but we brought them back in case anyone can use them. I thought someone would take some of these last night--Sunday dinner* was at our house--but only the antique floral quilt on top (oops forgot to photo) got snapped up. There's also a bag of patchworked squares just off to the side.

I think this exercise will be a morality tale for those of us who have an extensive WIPs list.

I myself plan to learn nothing from it.

*It was a Pioneer Woman dinner: Chile con queso, revved up (aka crack dip); to die for white chicken enchiladas; Simple. Perfect. Enchiladas!; and Flat Apple Pie from the new cookbook. I'm exhausted. Completed satisfied, but exhausted. Make those chicken enchiladas tonight; you can thank me later.

Haven't become a quilter yet, but I do love quilts!

I agree ... WIPs may proliferate to their hearts' content in my sewing room.

Oooh more quilty excitement!

BTW I've finished off the quilt I won from you and I've bought a nice hanger for it - now just have to get the other half to put it up and wait for some day light to take a photo. (These two things could take some time!)

Dinner sounds lovely, I'm coming round next week ;)

I don't plan on learning anything from that either.

Thanks for the recipe. I've made something similar before, but it's given me a chance to mark that blog. Looks like some good things on there.

I'll admit that the lesson is completely lost on me...

Thank you. It makes me feel better about my month's worth of WIP postings.

Lesson, there was a lesson?

Lucky you to get some quilty goodness!

I'm with you. I plan to learn nothing from the lesson.

But thanks for the enchilada recipe. I was making chicken cordon bleu tonight, but I may have to rethink that.

La la la, I am learning zilcho from what you said about WIPs, la la la, quilts are pretty, la la la...

Thanks for the links to PW's recipes. YUMMMM. I have to buy the stuff to try the enchiladas sometime--they look SO good.

Do you need someone to take the quilts off your hands? I think i like that around the world one on the bottom of the pile.
