Me Again

Lest you think this whole blog will eventually be written by others, I've shown up. Boy does it suck to be me right now. I am sick. It's the flu and I wonder what the threshold is before I call the doctor with this. Three days? Fever of xxx?

Last weekend the dude and I headed down to the greater DC area to see bestpal and got to visit with CinDC and some other readers. It was quite nice: beautiful weather, good food, good friends and fabulous conversation when you could hear it above the ruckus being raised by adorable infants and toddlers. We talked stitching for about five minutes because I'm the only one picking up a needle with regularity.

And I'm sure you've witnessed how irregular that has been lately. It turns out this dog is kind of a lot of work. And she sucks the energy out of me by rising between 5:15 and 5:30 and whine-barking. Then she pees, eats, and goes right back to sleep until about three. Ah, good times. She won't be a baby forever...

Even so, I have managed to stitch some on Brett's stocking. This is what it used to look like.

Those dogs are as bad as kids - and you're right - won't be a baby forever. Hope you start feeling better soon. And I love Brett's stocking!

Having just survived the small puppy stage (ours is seven months old now), I can truly sympathize. Hope you're feeling better. Love the stocking!

Love the stocking. If I wasn't banned from giving my grandchildren anything to do with Christmas (we are Jewish and unfortunately my kids have gone all religous on me) I would so stitch that stocking it is gorgeous!

Now as far as you are unwell DRINK AND THEN DRINK SOME MORE because I can tell you 100% that if you don't (because I didn't over the past couple of weeks) you will have the mother of all headaches. Now I'm drinking water. No diet coke just WATER and guess what? Yep headache has gone.

I hope you feel better sooner rather than later but don't go out too fast or else it will be back.

Lots of Love Patti xxx

The flu just plain, sucks! Hope you're feeling better soon - I'd say go to the doc if not starting to feel better by tomorrow - 3 or 4 days is ENOUGH!

Love Brett's stocking - I stitched 2 of them and have this one to do for my dh but not today.....

Hmmm... my word verification is vagnatul. The possibilities are endless....

Isn't the conventional wisdom that you sleep when the baby sleeps? I don't see a problem with the dog's schedule.

I had some type of bug too, and it really kicked my butt for a couple weeks~~hope you're feeling better now.

We had older dogs when we married, and when they passed on we got three puppies in a span of 3 years. It was hubby's job to get up with them because I was already getting up with our youngest two!

Ah yes. The flu. Mine's been raging for nearly a week, so it would be no use sending my good vibes your way. Looking at that stocking must cheer you up, though? It looks wonderful!

Lovely progress on the stocking! I have a bunch of the SB stockings that I need to do but it always takes me awhile to get myself psyched up enough to do the perle cotton.

I hope you're feeling better soon! I'm sure that the sleep deprivation from getting up to tend to the pup doesn't help. Take care of yourself!
