SAL with Michelle

This Sunday I made good on my promise to Michelle and dug out my Emerald Mermaid.

Check here for the before. (I think there was work done since February that went unphotographed!) Here she is now:

There will be more action on this one because I have two stitch-y Sundays planned. People are coming chez van Schurman this weekend (whee!) and in two weeks there's another alumnae club craft circle. And, my mother's birthday looms (in cross stitch time*). Also, you know Michelle, she's really nice and I promised her.

*Most people would probably say that April 4, 2009 is aeons away. But if you subtract a month for framing, two months for beading, and the very slow progress I've made in the last year, it's like this piece is due tomorrow!

I have this as a UFO in my stash too ... perhaps looking at yours will give me motivation - mine is going to be a present for my partner.

Would love to be in town for tea and stitchery, but am going west to visit some cows this weekend when it stops raining. I hear MLB already has plans for rescheduling baseball games 'cause of the weather on Saturday.

This project looks really awesome IRL!
That was so much fun today. :)
I think I left my red pashmina at your house ~ I'm sorry. I'll get with you about picking it up?

Looks great - thank goodness you only have 1 mermaid to stitch...I have two! Although, they are for me...because I'm greedy. I do love your mermaid on that fabric too!
